I have currently a low spec home server with core i3-550 and 10gb ram. I am hosting two virtual machines and http file server on it.
Lately, when i tried moving files bigger than 2gb, the computer gets extremely slow, exporer crashes and then a it bluescreens. The bsod stop code (reason) is different everytime.
I have an sata ssd and two hdds in the server. The ssd is 1 month old (has 95% in crystaldiskinfo) and the hdds are not really new, but have still perfect condition of the sectors.
I have never had this problem, it started three days ago, when i was copying a virtual machine from one folder to another on the same ssd.
Here are the full specs:
CPU: Intel core i3-550
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 210
RAM: 10gb, 4/4 slots used, same manufacturer
HDDs: SSD-Kingston A400 250gb, HDD1-Seagate Barracuda 1tb, HDD2-Samsung 2.5 form factor 250gb [all are in good condition]
OS: Windows Server 2012 R2
The average hardware usage when idle [vms and hfs running]:
CPU: 8%
RAM: 7.5/10GB
SSD: 1%
HDD1: 1%
HDD2: 1%
The average hardware usage when copying files 2gb and bigger:
CPU: 40% max.
RAM: 8.0/10GB
SSD: 40%
HDD1: 1%
HDD2: 1%
I have tried ram check and ssd check, both were without problem
The OS completely freezes after 20 seconds after i start moving the files, then explorer crashes and then it bluescreens and my vnc session disconnects
I did a recording multiple times using my phone on a physical monitor connected to the server using vga and saw what i said every time
Screenshots from vnc:
The file copying started [vms and hfs are not running]: https://ctrlv.cz/KbwT
About 1 minute after copying started: https://ctrlv.cz/VqZk
VNC disconnects: https://ctrlv.cz/mSEl
The server automatically restarts after 1 minute: https://ctrlv.cz/EGgO
I appriciate every help
