Server ram on desktop

I got this server ram for free HP Genuine 500203-061 4GB but i've read that its ECC buffered!

My motherboard is a biostar g41d3c, i assume such server ram wont work with it!


What do you think?

It will not work because your desktop motherboard doesn't know how to talk to the register on the DIMM.

Thanks! Somebody offered me a Radeon HD 4350 for that ram! Isnt the RAM more valuable then the bad gpu?

I have no idea, but I guess you could look at it this way: it's useless to you right now.
