Hey everyone,

I'm looking into getting a server pc, so I can host my own servers for games. My first question, is does a server pc even matter for what I want to use it for, or would a desktop better fir the role of what I want to do with it?

I'm also curious about the diferences between th two. I've seen server mobos have 2 CPU sockets, etc, and I'm wondering if they all are like that or not, and other general info on them.

Thanks!

ifs its everyday go desktop 1 cpu is fine but most motherboards go alryt if ur running a decent amout or ram, heaps of severs 2 cpus work but not practical unless ur holding heaps of games on diffrent servers i recomend getting a decent desktop board with an i5 or i7 with 16gig ram best option
