Question Set BIOS to default optimisations - cursor less smooth

I reset my BIOS settings back to default optimisations, I'm not very good with PCs so I hope that was okay to do. I note since doing that just on the BIOS the mouse cursor is less smooth and blinks softly. I can still select things and move the mouse, it just feels different.

Any reason why and do I need to do anything? Appreciate the advice folks can give.

What are the complete specifications for this system (make/model of all installed components)?

Is this a wired or wireless mouse?
It happens with both wired and wireless mouse. It’s a Ryzen 7 chip, 4060 Nvidia, 16GB RAM. MSI mobo.

I just wanted to know if resetting the BIOS back to optimised settings will have caused any problems and whether the mouse being less smooth, just in BIOS is okay ?

Details matter and that is not sufficient info to use for analysis.

Regardless, I have seen similar performance with other motherboards/mice and it really does no harm, other than being annoying. You can try a different USB port. Your motherboard likely has multiple USB version ports. Use one of the lower versions and see if it changes the behavior. Or simply ignore (since only presents the problem in the BIOS).

Apologies, I am not very technical so I don’t know much about this side of things other than just Windows.

That’s good to know, thanks.
