I want to set up my printer so my other computers can print over network.

The printer is connected to a Windows 7 desktop computer, my other desktop and laptop are Windows 10.

How do I set up my Windows 7 desktop to have my other computers connected and then how do I connect my Windows 10 computers to it?

Thank you for the help

I wasn't familiar with home group sharing so I quickly read up on it and it looks like not only was it removed from windows 10, it didn't work like normal sharing. So now you need to set up a normal printer share like in this link:

The Windows 10 pcs should then be able to see it and use it.
Is it just a printer, or is it a printer and scanner? If it is just a printer, then using the USB port on your router may be the best way. That way you don't have to have a second PC powered on to print. After that, a network print server would be the next best answer.

Typically once the printer is set up, you share the printer on the network like any other network share. I believe you set this up from the printer settings under control panel.

But it is important to know what type of printer it is because if it is a networkable device, you can have each system print to it directly as it is directly on the network anyways.

Before when all my computers were Windows 7, I'd created a Home group and all the computers connected to it to print. But now that I changed to Windows 10, I read you can't use Network group anymore.

So what do I need to do on my Windows 7 pc so my windows 10 pc can connect to it to use the printer.
