Set win explorer links folded by default

Hi,

I've got more folders which i frequently use since i went to college, so i put the most used ones under 'favorites' in explorer. The thing is, the remaining links such as 'This PC', 'Desktop' etc stay expanded, at least some of them and this makes it look chaotic.

Is there a way to set those links to be folded by default?
I guess some registry tweaking would do the trick but i don't know how.
I'd like the 'favorites' link to be expanded, and the rest of the links folded by default.

Try to click View on the menu and then Navigation Pane.

And then what next? None of the options result in leaving the folders collapsed by default..
If 'This PC' is opened, you can click 'view and then 'collapse all groups' which leaves all groups collapsed by default.
I want to achieve this in the navigation pane.
