Setting refresh rate at 75Hz

Hello to the community. I have a very "noob" question to make. I just bought a new monitor (LG 23MP68VQ-P) and i want to set it at 75Hz. Note that i do not own an AMD card (i have GTX 1060 but everyone says that 75Hz work on Nvidia cards as well) I saw that the only way to do that is to go to the monitor's settings and enable Freesync which i did. Does the refresh rate change automatically to 75Hz when you enable that or do i have to do it from windows settings as well?

Just go to Windows settings and check if it is set to 75 Hz or not.

Freesync is NOT supported on Nv cards, as theirs is called gsync and their aren't compatible.

Right click the desktop and select the nv panel, go to resolution and change it to 75hz, apply.
I would run games with fast sync (not vsync) and cap the framerate to 73 or 74, for games that are input-lag sensitive like FPS.
If the card is fast enough to do constant 60, use vsync and turn on triple buffer..

Some monitors don't allow their 75 Hz option to be selected unless the FreeSync option in the monitor's menu is enabled, is what he means.
