Long story short, my doc has asked me to stay away from my computer if possible (i keep having sinus infections) and so I am trying to move my desktop to a different room.
The biggest issue are the usb devices, I use the following :
Scarlett2i2 Sound interface using 48 phantom power for microphone and headphones plugged in

Zowie FK mouse I think runs USB 3.0 ?

MX cherry 3800 which I think runs on usb 2.0 but im uncertain

From my readings so far, a powered USB hub seems to be the way to go here.
However, there are several points which I am very uncertain and concerned about :
1. There seems to be a max transmission length of 5 metres for usb 2.0.
If my devices are2.0. can they still take advantage of the USB 3.0 of a 3.0 USB hub and thereby enable me a 10 metres USB connection between devices and desktop ?
2. The scarlett is a sound interface which uses 48v to power my XLR microphone, will a powered USB Hub be able to power the scarlett via USB and have all the other devices functioning ?
3. Am I looking, with a 10 metres USB connection via a powered USB hub, at :
A. Sound distortion via the sound interface
and
B. delay and lags on my input devices - mouse and keyboard ?
If this is not the way to accomplish this, what other solution could I aim for ?
Can anybody recommend a powered USB HUB ?
Thank you for reading and helping
