setting up D-link 605L

I have bought D-link 605L router. I want to connect my desktop PC having on board modem. Please guide me how to do.

Does your PC have a LAN port (RJ-45)? If so, just connect an ethernet cable.
If you're talking about an actual 'modem' (RJ-11) on the motherboard, no, that will not work.

What is the make/model of your motherboard?
