Got a RT-AC87U router a couple of days ago and have just received my TP-Link TD-8817 today but I have no idea how to bridge them. I'm not very good with networking and a step by step guide would be nice if anyone could help thank you.

My ISP is Manx telecom I live on a island so don't know if many people will know that ISP.

So, your TP-Link TD-8817, was this delivered by your ISP? It's an absolutely terrible model capable of only 3Mbps upload and 25mbps download. It's also 10/100 not 1000gigabit. Pairing this with a killer AC router will severely limit the router's performance.

That being said, what are you trying to do? If you simply want to connect the router to the model, then just plug a Cat5 cable into the back of the TP-Link modem and then into the WAN port of the ASUS.

If your ISP requires specific settings to connect, you'll have to call them and then add those settings manually into the ASUS.
