Settings that bring your fps down?

What are some options that drastically bring your fps down that dont really change much? i know that shadows does it but my pc has a 1060 6gb and yet my fps seems to be going under the 80s mark on games such as fortnite. So i just want to know what are some settings that dont really affect graphics or game play to much but make your fps go down dramatically

100% utilization is unlikely, more often than not. But provided you're in the 80%+ range (ideally 90%+), you've got a pretty well balanced system.

I'm really surprised windowed mode gave you such a performance hit.

well i might download afterburner as you suggested because i cant get an accurate reading it goes between 40-99% alot but yeah when i changed to fullscreen it put me up around 20 fps but still dips to 60 sometimes

Yeah, it's tough to monitor fully with HWMonitor as it's not really viewable in "real time".

Remember, your utilization will fluctuate, depending on what's happening in-game, so don't worry if you see spikes (or dips for that matter).
Depending on the specific scene (how many characters, etc) will impact other resources like CPU or RAM, so 'dips' are to be expected -- just make sure they're not a result of throttling due to rising temps.

No my temps are staying cool i checked average temps for both, but it does just seem to be fortnite dont know why

overwatch actually has settings that you can see your vram usage and current temps didnt know that! anyway thank you for all your help
