Seven displays on a GTX970

Just have a weird idea but wonder if it would actually work...

I currently run a GTX970 with 4 screen setup. 3 VGA displays for displaying instruments in a flight simulator like: Main flight Display, Navigation and Engine display and a 40" HD TV to look in front.

Now I would like to have the three VGA displays hooked up to a tripplehead2go releasing 2 slots on the GPU. One of the free slots will be used for another (4th) VGA display (fifth VGA will be identical to the Main flight display one via split cable). Another slot will be used for a touch screen that can run the FMC. (flight Management Computer)

So... 6 different outputs (three via a T2G) on a single GTX 970....

Will this setup work? Or can I add lets say a GTX 960 for those screens that do not require massive GPU power. Or do I have to stay in line with another 970 as otherwise the cards won't cooperate with each other?

+P3D user Your setup sounds fascinating, as I'm a student pilot and simulator enthusiast. However I have no experience with this sort of setup.

The path of least resistance would probably be for you to find a person on YouTube with the same setup that you're trying to achieve, and simply ask them how they set it up. There are endless amounts of people who record simulated and real flights on YouTube.

I'd recommend keeping this thread going, but I have a feeling that you'd have more success reaching out directly to someone that is currently doing it.
I doubt it, as you're still committing a certain amount of vram to each display. An alternative is to use some android tablets/ipads to run flight sim instrumentation. I've seen it done but haven't DONE it, so I don't know what it entails, but a quick googling will probably elucidate it for you.

I wish the iPad option was available to me, but as I'm building a home cockpit I am going to use the 2D panels from the airplane itself as these are 100 percent as to the rael thing. But thanks for your comment...
