Hey all... So I'm experiencing a huge amount of lagging when it comes to my Ethernet. WiFi isn't an option because of how poor my WiFi speeds are. As of now I have uninstalled all drivers and re-installed all the latest versions. My Ethernet drivers for my motherboard are all up to date, and I have no existing hardware issues. I am using a good quality cat6 cable and am directly wired to my router which is about 5 meter from my setup. I also switched my DNS servers to attempt to get more stability and speed but always results in horrid stuttering while gaming. My ping does randomly spike and I'm usually getting a stutter every 10-15 seconds, and partial freezes every 20+ seconds.

Any idea as to what the heck is happening?

Solution
Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

Make and model: modem, router, (or combo device).

Lagging on just one computer/device or all?

Do try another known working Ethernet cable. Cat 5e should be good.

What DNS servers where you using and what DNS servers did you switch to?

Are you able to run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the command prompt on your computer?
