So... been trying to diagnose a World of Warcraft issue for over a week now... ran FurMark at full for 30min, PassMark95 for 15 hours, and MemTest86 for 16 passes... system is fine, no overheating issues etc. which is good news.

So, formatted the drive, installed Win7x64 Pro, all updates as well. It was suggested I tried running SFC /SCANNOW so once Win7x64 and WoW was installed (nothing else just those two apps, oh and MSE for antivirus) I ran SFC /SCANNOW and it detected errors it couldn't fix.

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix them"

Ran the CHKDSK /R which found a partition error and fixed it. Though now my C:\ has 3 partitions, the new #0 with 0kb, then #1 that's 'System Reserved' at about 120MB then my main one that's now #2. Not sure why 3 partions now.

Tried SFC /SCANNOW again, same error. Went to Safe Mode, same error... so put the Win7 disk in, restarted and went to repair and opened the command prompt and ran

sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows

Said it couldn't execute it... so typed in "sfc /scannow" which ran and left it running and went to work.

Not having much luck figuring out what the errors were or how to get this thing to run so they get fixed. Any ideas?

You could try downloading and running sfcfix.exe from niemiro. I have used it a couple of times and it worked. I also want you to know that I did verify sfcfix worked by running the sfc command after it said it was fixed.
