Question Shadow problem in all games

Look at the shadows of the tree on the left side and the shadow of the fence.

This happens in all games. The reason I recorded it with GTA IV is to get it down clear without frame drops.

Seems like the there is a square box and only the shadows 5 cm away are clear. The ones far away are blurred.

changing shadow settings does not fix this.

Games try to mimic real life.
The farther away an objects shadow is the less defined and sharpness of its edges will be.
Just like in real life.
There is nothing to "FIX" as there is nothing wrong in the video you posted.
Yes it would be better if shadows looked more realistic but we have to wait on better ray tracing on shadows to make it possible.

This is what is happening. Exactly.

Its not my video.
Doing the steps in the video didn't fix it. My problem is with something else, because it appears in all games.

I went all the way back to 417 version, and it doesn't seem to work. I'm having the same results. I've tested a lot of versions since whenever I update the graphics drivers, I keep the setup files in a folder.

One other possibility I can think of is to delete everything in your "Shader Cache" folder and let each game rebuild its shader cache.
