i currently game on i7 3770, 12g ddr3 ram, gtx 680, 1080p 60hz monitor, planning to upgrade but need help. Planning to get a 144hz monitor, gtx 1060 6gb, 16g ddr4 memory, my mobo only supports ddr3 memory and i can not remember the speed at the mo but its not the fastest ddr3 ram. What mobo do you guys recommend, £90 price limit! i currently play, quantum break (not at 60fps & not at high), overwatch (high but only 60fps due to monitor), la noire, pes2018. i want to be able to play upcoming games like, fifa19, metro exodus, anthem, tomb raider, overkills twd, just cause 4, dead island 2 etc. not 4k gaming, 1080p gaming! if you was to upgrade my rig what would you upgrade first? second? & third? is a gpu upgrade enough? links appreciated...

Even if you did drop the amount on a new board that supports your existing DDR3 ram you will need to buy a new processor which, for all intents and purposes, will be Haswell refresh or Skylake at the best(though motherboard support will be horrendous).

You should invest in a more current platform instead of dealing with hardware that have been phased out.

1| The CPU, motherboard and ram to something like Ryzen 2
2| I don't know the specific of your build but I'm guessing your PSU isn't of a reliable build and if it's as old as the processor then it's probably on it's way out.
3| Getting and SSD.

Download CPU-Z and parse what you see in each tab.

my build is now, dell 990 mobo, i7 2600, 4x4gb ram, gtx 1060 6gb (1 fan), 1tb hdd, 120gb ssd. is This good enough for the games i mentioned earlier & thoughts on thia build..? if so then my next upgrade will be a desktop case! my cpu temp when idle is 52 and goes to 58-60 when i have overwatch loaded but not playing (high settings).i was not expecting my pc case to be as warm at it was but i read heat rises up. gpu fan, cpu fan, psu fan & one more fan, do i need to add another? does this pc sound ok?
