Hi everyone,

I have a Sharp Aquos TV which I'm using as a monitor. I'm able to see crisp detail on the screen a 4:3 setting, however, when I switch it to widescreen mode, the screen looks stretched and the images are no longer crisp.

My operating system is Windows Vista and I tried to experiment on all the possible resolution settings, up to 2048 x 1536. Result is either "signal not compatible" or the stretched screen.

Can you please help me how I can get the crisp, widescreen mode of the display? Does this have something to do with the graphics card or the monitor?

Thanks.

Thanks for replying. It's 1080p only.

So you mean I won't be able to display any resolution setting higher than 1080? Because even at 1280 x 600, I'm already getting the "Signal not compatible" message. The max resolution I can display now is 1024 x 768.
