I have this TV (it's a pretty old Sharp Aquos LCD) which is working perfectly fine except for one thing: the colours are rendered incorrectly. To be more specific, the red appears way more bright and intense than other colours, example: something brown will turn dark orange on the TV, something orange will turn red etc...
No problem when displaying white, black, grey, blue...
I tried so far:
- factory reset
- updating the firmware
- calibrating/playing with the image settings
but no improvements.
I like repairing stuff myself but I don't really know anything about TV's.
Does anyone have an idea about what part/component could be failing and if this would be something hard/costly to get replaced ?
It's a TV I found on the street so I can afford to spend a few $ to get it repaired but it's also old and obsolete so can't spend much.
