Sharp tv network issue

I have a Sharp model LC-60P6070U purchased in 2018. When i use the tv to connect to youtube i frequently get a lot of buffering. However, if i use my laptop and go to the same video using the same network connection at the same time, i will have NO buffering problem. Support walked me thru some steps but because it is out of warranty support was limited. Does anyone know of a setting on the tv that corrects this problem?

Update. Buffering on youtube continues when connected direct. (I made sure i was on the wired port). When buffering started i quickly pulled up same video on laptop via wifi and watched it without any buffering

Then it is probably the CPU in the TV is insufficient for current YouTube streaming. Might have been good in 2018 with 720p streaming but not today. What resolution are you trying to stream ?

The resolution is set to auto, so the TV tries to select the best res that can be reliably streamed. But you are missing one important point. I stream not only from youtube, but from Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a variety of channels from the Roku appliance plugged into one of the HDMI ports. So the resolution is not bearing on this as i have no trouble streaming from the other sources.

Are you accessing Youtube through a dedicated app on the TV or using the web browser on the TV? It may be a web browser setting.
That is a good question. I am accessing youtube by pressing a button on the remote. Not sure what happens after that but eventually it must connect to my home wifi to access the internet.

Is it the TV that is streaming or the Roku? Mentioning a Roku is new info...
