Shift+M Issues, any help appreciated

Neither the Left or Right shift key works when trying for a capital "M" it just stays a blank and in MS word 2010 Shift+M opens up spell check and you can’t close it until you have hit the “m” again without pushing shift.
In browsers & messengers it simply doesn’t do anything.
The shift keys will capitalize every other letter of the alphabet, Caps Lock and M will give a Capital M and the lower case m isn't having any issues.
Running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know. This is driving me crazy! (well crazier than I normally am)

Well it would have been useful to know if it's a laptop keyboard or a PC keyboard you're referring to!

If it's the latter, try a different keyboard.

Oh, sorry, it's on a desktop PC. Using a Microsoft curve wireless keyboard and mouse set
