Hello
I'll be purchasing a new router pretty soon but due to my family's policy, I'll not buy from an online store but only from a local one, and the "local one", currently have 4 options:
TP-Link -- TD-W8970
Netgear -- D1500
Netgear -- AC750 D6000
Netgear -- DGN2200 100PES
Note that I don't need to cover a large area so the WiFi range is not an issue as long as it can cover a mere 80 square meters(about 95.6 yards) apartment.
There is only one problem that has been the reason why I'm buying a new router. A few months ago I noticed that my router's DNS configuration keep changing by itself(into some malicious DNS server namely 109.163.232.183), I made a quick search and I discovered that its a know malware existing since last year that has been affecting some router models by changing their firmwares.
There's an article about this (its in Italian) link and the main advice is to download the latest firmware version, however there is none available for my current router, hence no solution to "fix" it.
Any advice is welcome.
