I've just installed Asustek B550 motherboard after always using Intel mobos. The M4 boards do not appear to support a hot key to bring up the Boot Device Menu and instead I have to go into the bios each time. Is there a function key option I'm missing please? I occassionally boot from a usb stick so would appreciate this functionality.

If you swapped the motherboard out to a chipset that is not the same, you will need to reinstall your OS.

What motherboard are you dealing with again? B550 is the chipset while Asus is the brand, you should mention the model for the board.

The mobo us Asus ROG STRIX. I rebuilt almost the entire PC but kept my boot drive which runs fine after re-registering my system with MS. My old Giga mobo used F11 to select the boot device. Suprised AMD don't seem to offer similar. Searching online fails to find an answer just the boilerplate answer - go into bios - . When googling something and when I get boilerplate results like "Simple. Just goto the menu and select..." I want to scream. Google really needs to up it's game and listen to what my actually query is asking, In this instance I Googled "What is the shortcut key to select boot device on Asustex ROG STRIX B5500-F motherboard?" and it spits back inane suggestions. Sorry no reason to rant at you but I feel better!;)
