I am building my first gaming desktop and i literally have everything except the CPU. Should my system at least display an error or something? There is no signal coming through. Kinda worried something is faulty.
SPECS:
Gigabyte GTX 1660 Ti Oc Windforce
Tforce 16gb Ram 3200
MSI BAZOOKA MAX (Ryzen 3000 ready)
500gb M.2 Nvme
650 EVGA PSU

i am waiting for Ryzen 5 3600 to restock.

Solution
Without something to process the information there is nothing to display, and no way to do it.
The best you can get is motherboard lights and usually fans turning on.

Testing a system without a CPU is a waste, mostly because there is no way to differentiate between a hardware issue in another component, or simply the lack of processor.

Without a CPU, NOTHING except LEDs on the motherboard will happen.
