Should/can I replace 2GB 1Rx8 1600 with 4GB 2Rx8 1333 when paired with 4GB 1Rx8 1600?

I have a Lenovo Edge 15 80H1 laptop. It has an Intel Core i5 4210U and I run Windows 10 64-bit. It's my main computer and is used for mainly web browsing and gaming, though nothing too amazing and when I do play I usually crank the settings down for better performance.
Recently they HDD died and while replacing it I realized that it has 6GB total ram split on 2 chips - one 4GB and the other 2GB. The current memory is Ramaxel 1Rx8 1600, but I have another chip available that is Hynix 4GB 2Rx8 1333. Checking over everything it appears everything else is in order - the board will support up to 16GB, both DDR3 unbuffered SO-DIMM - except the possible replacement is listed by the manufacturer as "normal power" (1.5v I'm guessing) and the original memory says 1.35v and 1.5v. Both slots are labeled 1.5v but the maintenance manual for the laptop says the bus architecture is SDRAM: DDR3L 1600 (PC3L‐12800S). As I understand the L at the end of DDR3L is for low-voltage. I'm not sure if this will prevent the Hynix memory from working, and even if it will work I don't know if running them both at 1333 and mixing brands and number of ranks and everything is worth picking up 2GB.
Any insight on the matter would be greatly appreciated - this is my first time on the site (found while searching for answers) and I'm very impressed by the knowledge and assistance provided. I hope I included the pertinent details, but if any other information is needed or might make a difference I'll answer to the best of mine and Google'd documentation's ability.

Lenovo Edge 15 80H1 supports 8GB ( 2x4GB) Max.

You can add a DDR3L(dual voltage 1.35v or 1.v) or DDR3 RAM (1.5v) to this system. Either will work, if both are mixed, they will operate at 1.5v. Same applies for mixing timing speeds. 1600MHz and 1333MHz when mixed, will operate at 1333MHz.

So you can go ahead and try.

I thought I remembered seeing the 8GB max before, the 16GB figure is from the maintenance manual I was finally able to track down. Either way I'm within the limit there.

So that answers kind of answers the can I, now the other part of the question was should I? Like I said, I don't know if running them both at 1333 and mixing brands and number of ranks and everything is worth picking up 2GB. I understand that may be a more nuanced question, but all my previous experience with upgrading memory has been clear upgrades, this is the first time I have had a situation with a trade-off.
