Should capture during combat be changed ?

This has bothered me for a long time.
In combat, a ship without crew is imediately captured, even if a whole load
of troops and HGs is on board.
This never made the slightest sense to me.
HGs fight enemy boarderers so well, but as soon as the last crewman buyes
it, they just surrender and walk into a prisoncamp/out the airlock?

Yes, the sirens haarp would take a hit, but still be usefull. At least the
affected ship wouldn´t go anywhere without crew.

What do you people think?

Your suggestion makes sense, we should also look at the implications:
-) These would be the only possibilities to get an enemy ship, if there
is 1 troop or HG on board
A) destroy a ship
B) board a ship
C) Successfully use a X-Field
D) Successfully use an Incarceration Beam
-) Weapons need to kill passengers then, too
-) Life System Damage needs to kill passengers then, too - if not
already the case

Did I miss anything?

I didn't know that one! Thanks Ralph for enlightening me. I was
wondering how the Haarp was useful if enemy vessal had troops on board.

Maybe lifesupport fails / lethal radiation / gas leaks when there is no
crew and soldiers just die. Special boardgin parties then restart
systems and jettison dead bodies. Or something like that. There is
always explanation:)
