Should I add a Quadro/FirePro card or just upgrade my 4GB 960?

I'll be using my system pretty soon for Maya and Nuke and Adobe. I was wondering which one would benefit me more... Upgrade my 960 or just add an additional Quadro/FirePro card? I'd really like to maximize what I can do with what I already have.

In addition, if I do add the Pro GPU, which one would be best at around $500? I haven't really ran into how Pro cards work, it would be nice to get a clearer idea of it. I just know I've been using one at work, and it makes my work with Adobe a lot smoother.

So, with that said... Here's the system where it'll be going.

Thanks in advance.

Pro and gaming graphics cards are "essentially" the same, when you look at like the actual GPU. However there are a lot of differences such as features being unlocked for CAD programs, better grade memory and components (sometimes), and things like that. A lot of it is related to driver support as well. This is a good thread about it:

Essentially if you plan to do 3D work, while a gaming GPU will probably work, an actual pro GPU will be FAR better.

That said I'm not familiar enough with them to make any recommendations based on price, but I'm sure someone here who does can chime in.

Cool! Thanks for the information.
Yeah, I really do feel like a Pro card will serve me better than a gaming GPU. I think Pro cards have higher Pixel Ratio, if I'm not mistaken. Cuz, my Quadro here at work zooms in far more than my 960 at home. I can get as detailed and close-up as I want to.

Sure hope someone can add something.
