Should I be worried about CPU temp?

Hello. I recently posted a thread asking if I was able to use a certain CPU in my PC without it overheating or without it needing more power. Some people such as a mod said that the only way to know is by testing it. My main worry was that I didn't know whether or not my mobo could give enough power to my CPU. The CPU I wanted to get was an AMD Anthlon 760K (This one). I also knew I need to get a power supply so I got a EVGA 500 B1, 80+ BRONZE 500W. When I was finding a CPU somebody told me how hot they ran and recommended this fan. I got all of these installed today and booted up my PC and everything is working. I ran some games to find a decent FPS boost, and I was happy. I opened up HWMonitor to see how my CPU was running, and it seemed quite hot. While playing CS:GO for a little test, HWMonitor said my CPU's heat went all the way up to 82C and mostly hovered around 75C. I tried again by playing BO2 and ran a video to see it how it ran, and it said my temperatures for my CPU were at 80C this time, and it was rather consistent. I opened up my case and ran it again so I could feel how hot the heatsink was. While HWMonitor said it was at 75C, the heatsink was only slightly warm. I felt all the way down near the bracket for the fan and it also was just warm. One thing I noticed HWMonitor doing was that it occasionally spikes 10C in an instant. It will immediately go back down, so I thought this might be a sign that it is reading inaccurately. So, should I be worried about temps? Is there anything that can run a more accurate and safe test? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The only plastic I saw was a big piece preventing the pre-applied paste from touching anything. I didn't add my own, I just used the pre-applied paste.
