Since yesterday there is a faint smell of hot plastic (not burned, just hot, like a plastic food container that was put in the microwave oven) that comes around once every while. I always have HW info open and except for the CPU that is commonly in the 80C range and can hit up to 95C depending on what i do, everything else is 45- 55C. The only thing i can't monitor is the PSU, is there anything i can use for that?
When i first smelled it i was playing DCS for about 4 hours and about 20 minutes later the game started being very stuttery but there was no change in temps. After restarting the game it all worked fine and the system works fine since but that smell still comes and goes and makes me paranoid.
See spoiler for my PC build.

Might want to inspect all components and their connections in your build. In fact, if you have a GPU that has a 12v-2x6/12VHPWR connector, you should inspect that first.

Please pass on the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Before you state to check your sig space, sig space specs can and will change over time. When that happens this thread and it's relevant suggestion will be rendered moot to the end user in the same boat as you're in now. This is why we ask users to include them in the thread's body.

The only thing i can't monitor is the PSU, is there anything i can use for that?
Unless your PSU is hooked up to the platform using an USB port, the only way you can monitor your PSU's voltages is using HWinfo or something like this;

I made a file with it so next time i can just copy paste it.
CPU: Ryzen 7700X
CPU cooler: Thermalright PA 120 SE
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk wifi (BIOS 7D75v1M)
Ram: Gskill Trident Z neo 6000MHz
SSD/HDD: ADATA SX6000LNP, Samsung 850EVO, 860QVO, 970EVO
GPU: PowerColor RX7700XT Hellhound
PSU: Be Quiet pure power 12M 850W about 1 year old
Chassis: a cheap rebrand of (probably) an old corsair model with 4 aftermarket Arctic fans (3 intake 1 exhaust)
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: DELL G2724D + LG 22M35
All drivers up to date.
I know, too many SSDs but every time i need more space i keep the old and add another one. Next time i do a major upgrade i'll trim the fat.

I made some observations that i found strange in HW info and i checked my settings in Fan Control. Yesterday morning i got an update for it that changed some stuff, so certain settings were reset and there was a big delay between temps going up and fans speeding up which caused the unvented heat to pool up in the case and produce the smell.
