You said you're interested in a single card set up, I'd go for the 770 if you have the money. If you don't then the 760 is the card for you. You won't be disappointed with the 760 at all. As for future use both will last 2years+ settings might vary between now and then but you'll still have amazing quality. As for brands, I'd go with EVGA, Gigabyte, ASUS. I'm not a huge fan of MSI. EVGA and Gigabyte being the top two with those card versions.

So I went ahead an ordered a Gigabyte 770 OC! This will be my first high end GPU (my current card is a GTX 560).

I'm a bit nervous! I hope the card is worth the extra doe...

From a gtx 560 yes its a sick upgrade for you and i know you will def enjoy the 700 for sure

I own the 2500k my self and paired it with the 770 OC u will hit 60fps/high ultra in most games except crysis 3 last light but other then that your pretty much covered and you wont see a bottleneck. Also remember as i said before you can always sli the 770s as well if you dont wanna wait for the 800s and most likely your 1 770 will do just fine.

Huzzah! The 770 is a great card. I was considering getting one myself but I have a 1440x900 res monitor so it wouldn't do me any good without an upgraded monitor.

Hey dude, I understand you completely well, I just built my first pc last wednsday and did loads of research to choose the best components, when I finally got to the GPU I almost went crazy with all the research, and finally narrowed it down to 760 or 770.
For a bit more money I chose the one that will last me longer, the 770, because the amount I payed extra can easily be saved in a year or 2 more that the card holds out.
There will be always newer and better gpus coming out, it´s just the way things are, but that doesn´t mean the one you have becomes obsolete, I´m pretty happy with the 770 performance so far.
Hope it helps!

And thats how i think i see alot of people getting gpus thats "getting them by" and i mean it works but you find your slef upgrading more then you need to unless you just want to. The 770 is a bit more but will last longer performance wise more so then the 760 and as i said before sli would be a sicker option with the 770s but thats just me though

Hey guys, while I have your attention...

When I was installing my card, I VERY stupidly removed the serial number sticker off the card. I think handling such a beast made me so nervous that my judgement was impaired..

Anyways, afterwards I realized that I needed that sticker for my warranty! I frantically searched everywhere for it, under my equipment, in every cabinet, in every crevice of each box of hardware. I even got on my hands and knees and scoured every square inch of the carpet in my work area, to no avail 🙁

Yesterday I found it stuck to the back of my shirt, just before it went into the laundry. Yeah.

The sticker is still in one piece and in good condition, outside of having shirt fuzz on the sticky side. Of course, I still have the box the GPU came in, along with my Newegg receipt. I went with Gigabyte. Anyways, is my warranty still valid?

I bought the Gigabyte GTX 770 OC Windforce. It was between that and the EVGA SC ACX 770. The Gigabyte was $20 cheaper, had a higher stock clock, and included a free download of Splinter Cell Blacklist. I regret it a little now, as ACX cooling seems 6c or so cooler than Windforce, and EVGA seems to have the better customer service. What do you guys think?

i have a gtx 770 and it's great!!
i play crysis 3 max 60 fps constant so i think you don't have to worry about that stuff.
i would totaly go 770
