Im getting 980ti for 280 and 1070 for 329.99
Are we talking US prices here, or some other region and currency? And are these cards new or used? If this is in the US, neither is priced particularly well. As has been pointed out, an RTX 2060 is typically faster than either card, somewhere around 15% faster than a GTX 1070, or over 30% faster than a 980 Ti, and some can be bought new for around $300...

And a GTX 1660 SUPER generally performs about the same as a GTX 1070, for around $230...

The 1070 has a bit more VRAM than the other options, but if you don't need 8GB of VRAM for some...

I would actually get an RTX 2060. It is a bit better than the 980ti PLUS it has those RTX cores. Blender just started utilizing them and I think other software is going to start sooner or later.

If you can squeeze it in, the RTX 2060 SUPER is a better option as it has 8gb Vram and is close to an RTX 2070 for not that much more money than the standart 2060.

Stop ruining my business lol. You're right though, the price of the 2060 is rather reasonable given it's performance is comparable to a GTX 1080.

The 1070 has a bit more VRAM than the other options, but if you don't need 8GB of VRAM for some specific task, the RTX 2060 or GTX 1660 SUPER should offer a lot better value.

With all this 2060 talk. I would 86 the 2060 all together and just save the few extra bucks for the 2060s.

Its about 20% better, has a better video encoder for content creators, 8gb of Vram which I have still yet to use over 6 in any games, has RTX (although its almost useless on the 2060s but maybe some more fine tuning could help it) and can be OC'd to be a 2070.

Much more value in the ALL AROUND aspect of GPUs. Then again if we would be talking STRICTLY max fps, then the 5700xt is the clear winner.
