I am in the game for hunting down a mainboard for my new computer. First I opted for x870 but I see they don't have nothing extra to offer compared to x670.
So I want to go for Gigabyte X670 Gaming X AX V2 which unfortunately is rev 1.0
I know that many boards are pretty unstable in rev 1.0
Can you recommend another board in the x670 generation that has a higher rev?

I'm not sure I'd get worried much about version 1.0.

Within the last 4 hours, I read of a certain motherboard whose later versions had characteristics not found on earlier versions....tendency for coil whine, fewer layers on the board, etc.

Gigabyte AMD board, as a matter of fact.

Unless of course you have specific reasons to be suspicious about version 1.0 on your particular motherboard.

And other boards only have a 1.0, and are perfectly stable from the start.

Being rev. 1.0 isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I used to have a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master (rev. 1.0) that worked like a charm.
I've never had issues with it in 5 years of owning it.
