Should I buy more RAM memory?

intel i7 4970k 4.0GHz
Asus Strix GTX 970OC
8gb RAM ddr3 2400 MHz
MSi z97 gaming 3
PSU : ZALMAN ZM700-GLX, 700W

Hi guys. Here is the problem . I feel like my videocard doesn't run at full performance because I don't have enough RAM memory.It might sound stupid but I can't find other explanation. For example in CS:GO - max settings I have around 250-300 fps , while others , with the same GTX970 have 300-350 FPS . The problem is not here. It wouldn't really make a difference , but in others games like GTA V - max settings , I have around 40-60 FPS while others have 50-70 , again , with the same videocard . This isn't a big problem neither , but in newer games like Assassin's Creed Syndicate it really makes a difference. So I thought about buying more RAM , perhaps it will fix the problem , but I dont want to spend money for no reason since I only use my computer for gaming.

Also , when it comes to render a new part of map in a game , the fps drops .

You cant compare graphics card to graphics card. You have to look at the whole system.
What settings are you playing on, and what is your PSU? You should average around 60FPS on GTA V. The FPS on go means nothing above your refresh rate.
Memory wont make a difference unless you use all that you have. You can be using 7.8GB of 8GB without performance loss. Only upgrade to more ram if you need more.

Yes I know , but I forgot to mention that the people I was talking about having more fps than me have worse CPU's but more RAM.

Where are you finding these results?
Once more, extra RAM wont make a difference unless you need it. If you dont use 8GB you wont need 16GB, nor will it help.

Generally youtube is not a great source for benchmark information.

What's the DRAM running at? 2400? If so is it at the correct timings? Your MC may be straining if the CPU is at stock

Using Syndicate as an example, the in game setting can drastically affect FPS. Also, to some degree, the way nvidia control panel is configured. I run Dual GTX 970 and when I completely max out Syndicate (I mean turn the knob to 11 on everything) I have dipped into the low 30 FPS at 1080P single monitor. But, I can adjust a few things and have a practically unnoticeable different in quality (to me anyway) at well above 50 FPS on 3 monitors.

Well , while playing Syndicate , MSi Afterburner says that 8gb/8gb ram is used . Settings are : 1920x1080 ; Very High ; HBAO+ ; FXAA Off

That does not sound right if just gaming... What does task manager report for ram usage of other programs???

What I see:

Here is Syndicate shortly after it loads via task manager (roughly 3 GB)



And here total system plus what MSI Afterburner is telling me as far as computer ram and the card/s ram.



What do you see? Something else is eating up quite a bit more ram than it should if just gaming.
