Hey Toms Hardware community,

I'm planning to upgrade my current gaming setup and came across this prebuilt PC that seems to offer great value for the specs. Before making the purchase, I wanted to get your opinions and advice to ensure it's the right choice.

It's served me well over the years, but with newer games demanding more power and my interest in streaming and content creation growing, I believe it's time for an upgrade.

Usage Goals

Gaming: Primarily at 1440p ultra settings with high FPS; looking to future-proof for 4K gaming.

Multitasking: Smooth performance while running multiple applications simultaneously.

Questions for the Community

Q1: Is this build worth the AUD $2,688 price tag? Considering current market prices and component quality, is this a good deal?

Q2: Are there any potential bottlenecks or concerns with this configuration, specifically regarding the cooling solution and power supply capacity/quality?

Q3: How well will this setup perform in modern AAA titles at 1440p and 4K resolutions, and what kind of FPS can I realistically expect?

Q4: Would building a custom PC myself be more cost-effective, and If so, how much could I potentially save, and would it be worth the effort?

Q5: Any recommendations for a suitable 32-inch 1440p 240Hz monitor to pair with this system? Looking for options that offer excellent color accuracy and fast response times.

Thanks in advance!

Power Supply: XPG 750W
i would try to get some more info on the PSU model first.
i've only encountered a couple of their units and the quality differs greatly between them from very nice to garbage.

many of the current RTX 4080 Super cards recommend minimum 850w.
PNY even recommends 800w minimum for their SUPER OC model.
you may be pushing it with a 750w and have issue with OC boosting.
CPU Cooler: 240mm AIO
a 240mm isn't much for today's higher level CPUs.

7800X3D doesn't put out that much heat, voltage restricted because of the 3DVcache. 240mm AIO is more likely to survive being shipped than a large tower air cooler. About the only time I think they are worth it.

XPG unit does have a 12VHPWR cable, so theoretically it should be okay with the lighter CPU of the 7800X3D. Not a 253W Intel.

The build they offer is actually a pretty good deal compared to retail.
