Should I buy Titanfall for Xbox 360 or PC?

I just bought a gaming computer with a i7-4700mq processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765m with 2GB GDDR5, 8GB RAM, and 1TB HDD with 80 GB mSATA. I have an Xbox 360, but not an Xbox One. My dilemma is whether I should buy Titanfall for Xbox 360 or PC. I know PCs are able to play Titanfall while using an Xbox 360 controller for windows, but I'm not sure if mine will deliver the same performance as my Xbox 360.

Will my laptop be able to handle Titanfall to the same extent as an Xbox 360 will? I don't want to pay $60 for a game that won't run smoothly relative to the Xbox 360. I am somewhat new to PC gaming and more comfortable with a controller, but I also want to become more fluid using a keyboard and mouse, which factors into the decision as well.

You will probably have better performance and quality on titanfall on the 360. However, that's not saying that if you lower the graphics settings it will be smoother, if quality is not what matters most to you.

You will most likely see more consistent, faster performance on the XBOX 360, while you will have the option for far better quality visuals and audio on your PC. Your 360 is clearly no match for your PC, but you will have to get your settings dialed in or you can really torpedo performance. The benefit of the 360 platform is the secondary developer who is handling the port is going to fine tune the settings so you get a reasonably consistent experience. If you don't fall into the usual rut that most seemingly ignorant PC gamers get in, feeling they should be able to max out settings on average hardware, but instead use settings that fit your equipment, there's no doubt you'll be able to eek out a better experience on your PC.

I would say it might hinge on the amount of work you're willing to go to, to play the game. The PC version will likely cost you more effort to get tuned, while the 360 version won't give you the option, so once you're up, you're playing.

On the other hand, you shouldn't have the same stupid requirement to install EA's Origin service if you go with the 360, so perhaps weigh your options there as well.

Same thing as above^^. but PC download is of 47GB while the Cd is of 17Gb, take that under consideration.
Titanfall is Shooter game, if you are comfortable with console than take 360 version. If not, then Mouse is the best thing in and fps game.

I figured running Titanfall on settings above high would be practically impossible, so I wasn't sure how well it'd do on medium or high would compare to playing on the Xbox 360. I think I'll most likely get the PC version and tweak it a little. I appreciate your help!

You certainly did! I am about getting the PC version with the CD since it's the same price as downloading. Do you have a preference between downloading and playing off a CD?

Although playing with a controller is more comfortable for me, becoming familiar with a keyboard and mouse is one of my goals, and purchasing the PC version allows use of an Xbox 360 controller or keyboard and mouse. I appreciate your input!

I don't think that even the best Xbox 360 controller user could be as effective as a well trained keyboard and mouse player in an FPS style game, but the general point of games is to have fun, so play it the way you enjoy. My nephew is the same way, he prefers his 360 controller for some PC games, mouse and keyboard for others. You'll find which works best for you and I wouldn't base it on our opinions.

Unfortunately, as was suspected, the reason the PC install is so large is due to a decision made by the game developer to simply go with uncompressed audio. You won't have an option to play the PC version from a disc, so really there's no issue to be sorted out there. You might be able to play from a disc on a console, but ultimately, hard drives are so much faster you would more than likely learn you don't want to be loading from an optical disc each time, even if you can.
