should i buy windows 7 or 10 for new pc for gaming?

Hello everyone, lately i have been wondering which windows should i buy, because W10 are supporting dx12 but i have been using W7 for few years and i know W10 only from school.

Somebody who could convice me to buy W7 or W10 ?

i would go with 10 since its newer honestly. but i know alot of people still on 7 who are happy. and they wont be ending support on 7 till 2020 i just read (could be wrong)

If you have no intention of playing games in DX12, then Windows 7 is fine. If you think you might want to play DX 12 games, then Windows 7 is not fine. Windows 10 is the better bet since many games might be DX12 only in the next few years.

Win10 would be a better investment, especially since the free upgrade period is over & like hdmark said Win7 will be losing support at some point soon.

Personally, I would just stick with windows 7. Aside from all the crap that windows 10 adds, its really annoying that auto-updates is always on. I like to turn my computer off, and there's nothing more annoying that turning your computer on only to discover that windows downloaded updates and now has to take the next 5-10 minutes installing them and rebooting a dozen times.

The dx12 issue isnt an issue. most games arent evening using it right now, so youl be fine for more than a few years by sticking with dx11.
