Hello everyone

i bought an asus vivobook 14 pro oled 1-2 years ago because i thought i really needed a laptop but i dont think it ever left my room since than

i thought the performance will be ok i do get pretty good fps for the price but some games just freeze for 1-2 seconds when action kicks in even at 900p medium-low could be vram or power limit issue

my current specs:
Ryzen 7 5800H
rtx 3050 mobile 35w
16gb ddr4 3200
512gb ssd
14" 2.8k 90hz oled screen with 600 nits (no vrr) i dont play on native res

what i could change to:
RTX 3090 gaming x
Intel Core i7-12700
MSI MAG Coreliquid 240R V2
GIGABYTE B660M GAMING X DDR4 Alaplap
Kingston HyperX FURY 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3466MHz HX434C19FWK2/32
Samsung 980 PRO NVMe 2TB M.2 PCIe (MZ-V8P2T0BW)
Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL ROG Certified
SilverStone Strider Platinum 1000W (SST-ST1000-PT)

it would cost the laptop + about 1100$

what do you think?

thank you for the response

what monitor would you recommend?
i was thinking lg 27GP850P-B
1440p 165hz

my biggest performance issues came from
shadow of war (2017)
dying light 1 (2015)
pathfinder kingmaker (2018)
fallout 4 (2015)

but some newer games ran fine
outer worlds (2019)
phoenix point (2019)

and there are ones i always return to but already ran fine with the 3050 mobile:
prototype 1 (2009)
starcraft 2 (2010)
fallout 3 (2008)
shadow of mordor (2014)
area 51 (2005)

i dont play the newest titles because i think they are released bugy and overpriced

Is that AIO one of the "clogging issue" MSI models?

There is nearly no comparison between 'mobile' and desktop models of CPU and graphics card. The desktop PC will be far more powerful for sure.

the "v2" supposedly fixed that but i dont actually know :/

as far as i know the mobile 4090 is faster than the desktop 3090 xP

you could technically compare just the naming is off
