Ok so i have some problems with my current gpu i think and its incompatability with my cpu. the graphics card is a MSI gtx 780 ti and it gets very bad fps at games like battlefield on high. the highest i got on multiplayer is 40 fps. the graphics card or other components in the pc is not damaged and/or defect.

My Build:
Corsair Obsidian 750D
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, Socket-AM3+
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition
Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU Cooler
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 16GB
Seagate Barracuda® 2TB
Silver Power SP-S750M 750W PSU
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium NO
Acer 24" LED G246HLBbid
MSI GeForce gtx 780 ti

Should i change the gtx 780 ti to a r9 290x or a r9 280x?
Suggestions would be nice :)

Test while playing bf4

lol... you have to upload pictures, but theres nothign wrong with your 780ti or your GPU. 8350's shine in battlefield b/c it can use all the cores. What clock is your 8350 at? I'm assuming you OC'd it if you have a liquid cooler.

agreed, update bios and all drivers for your motherboard. Also get GPU drivers.

And i have not overclocked because i am not that experienced with the bios settings and are very scared that i might end up damaging the components if i tune something wrong

As seen in the image your gpu load is at only 60% which means your cpu holds you back (not because its bad)

I see you use windows 7, have you installed the microsoft drivers for the fx cpus? microsoft released drivers (just google "windows 7 fx 8350 drivers") because windows 7 couldn't utilize the fx 8 core series "perfectly", that drivers should fix it imho

Btw. I created this thread to ask if it would help me more if i changed the gtx 780 ti to a r9 290x or a r9 280x. My friend has almost the same build as i have but has a r9 270x and windows 8.1. he can run battlefield smoothly on 80-100+ fps without any decrease under 80

He bought the same as i have because he was unsure what he wanted to get so i told him about what i had so he just bought it. No he is not that smart pc guy just a gamer that plays games. he havent overclocked and he doesnt know what it is. i ran some fps testes on his pc to see how much he got. i almost hit him because this pc thing have bothered me a pretty long time because my previous graphics card was a gtx 670 and a amd 4300 and that worked quite well on bf3 (because bf4 wasnt released). after battlefield 4 came out i have been pissed of on the graphics card because it uses too much power or something. i just want to find out the problem.

The problem is with getting your CPU to perform correctly. There is a lot of GPU power not being used based on that graphic of GPU-Z. Switching the GPU will not change that.

You might have an issue with heat on your CPU, or something else all together, but it will likely still be an issue with a new GPU. Try monitoring your CPU temps before you continue.
