Ok so i have some problems with my current gpu i think and its incompatability with my cpu. the graphics card is a MSI gtx 780 ti and it gets very bad fps at games like battlefield on high. the highest i got on multiplayer is 40 fps. the graphics card or other components in the pc is not damaged and/or defect.

My Build:
Corsair Obsidian 750D
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3, Socket-AM3+
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition
Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU Cooler
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 16GB
Seagate Barracuda® 2TB
Silver Power SP-S750M 750W PSU
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium NO
Acer 24" LED G246HLBbid
MSI GeForce gtx 780 ti

Should i change the gtx 780 ti to a r9 290x or a r9 280x?
Suggestions would be nice :)

Test while playing bf4

Should i put my cpu cooler fan on the top of the case and then a normal fan in the back so the pc will have a fluent airflow? or is it better to keep the cpu cooler fan in the back then a fan in the top of the case? I already have two in the front

The fan will not help if your temps are low. The temps you are repeating to us are so low, that it sounds like the CPU may just not be going into full use. It is something I do not know the best tools for, so I suggest you search for diagnostic program.

Actually, what I'd do is go to the CPU forum here, and ask them: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum-28.html

They should be able to help you better, unless someone here is more experienced with it. 30-37C with the GPU at 60% load, does not sound right.

I know this is solved but the low frame rates might be because of high ping.....and get the latest updates and dont even think about switching from 780ti to 290x the 780ti is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better

The only two things I could think of at least are parked cores and/or core c6 state.

Try to unpark your cores (windows "parks" them if their power isnt needed, but this isnt always performing as it should)
take this tool and unpark all cores, this will force windows to use ALL of your cores:
http://www.coderbag.com/Uploads/Unpark-CPU-App.zip

If this also isn't working disable the "core c6 state" in the bios, maybe your processor doesn't get "kicked out" of this state after idle

Could you run a tool like "Core Temp" when you play battlefield e.g. and make a screenshot? this tool shows you the frequencies + load of all of your cores beside the core temperatur
you can find it here:

Did you have an AMD gpu installed before putting the 780 ti in? If so, download driver sweeper and run that to clear out AMD drivers.

What are your settings in PrecisionX? Default?

Solution

It appears that the CPU is running at 4.1Ghz and the temps are not high. The CPU cores are maxing out at 69%, so that leaves the question of why is the 780ti only at 60% most of the time. Do you have adaptive V-sync (half refresh) on, or using any sort of 3rd party programs for FPS limiting?

If you bought a 290x or especially a 280 you'd be downgrading. The 780 Ti is more than powerful enough to beat both of those GPU's even in and AMD "optimized" game if you can call it that it's really not optimized for anyone or anything.

Important things first:
NEVER sell the 780 TI, this card kicks ass and you just can't compare it to an AMD card.

If unparking the cores doesn't help, check your driver settings in the NVIDIA control center.
Be sure that no settings are pre-configured and the card uses the settings of the actual game.

Do you only get in Battlefield poor framerates? If yes than try a different driver, the battlelog-forums are full of people reporting their performance with different driver-versions.

Isn't the thermal throttling higher than 81C by default?

This stuck out to me as well. Make a custom fan profile thats far more aggressive!

It may be something as simple as the video card itself may be defective, or the psu (including power leads not hooked up right). Sometimes Occam's razor is the correct path.

Also, his monitor is 1080p @60hz, the 780ti is like using a sledgehammer to kill a fly and will not improve game play one iota with that monitor on BF4. Running on Ultra is just eye candy fluff anyway; unless you know what the subtle differences are, High vs Ultra is nearly indistinguishable.

Finally, gpu usage will not always hit nor should always be 99%.

PSU PCI-E might be defective, Mobo PCI-E lanes could be bugging due to bios, try Upgrading. Driver might be corrupted and OS might have issues causing slow downs and fps drops its common occurrence that people get confused about. Update all your existing drivers.
What is your ram frequency and voltage? Sometimes having just one defective ram module can cause your whole setup to suffer. Try running on only one module to test you may want to adjust clock timings and voltage to attain stable ram operation since this is AMD simply putting everything together doesn't always work as intended you will need to tweak, possibly lower DRAM timing in some cases.

So your course of action, BIOS check and Upgrade.
OS cleanup and driver Update. Virus and malware cleanup. Malwarebyte antimalware, Kingsoft pcdoctor, wisecare365.
Individual Memory module tests.
CPU-GPU stress test and bechmarking.
Reinstall fresh OS and see.

I know one thing...when everything else fails....re-install windows 😛. As I see it and as everyone else saw it, this is most probably a software problem, so I'd go that way

I have 2 270x crossfired and am only getting 120ish fps and thats with a 9370 at 4.9 also my other rig with 2 780 classifieds in sli are running at 5760 by 1080 with a 8320 on a custom loop at 4.7 on ultra run 60s so 100fps on a single 270x with an 8350 on ultra seems alittle far fetched
