Hello, im changing my Motherboard from "M5 A97 EVO" to a "ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F".
My current case is Cooler Master CM690 II (lite i think, the not-advanced one) took me a while to find the model because i bought it several years ago. And im looking to change it for one that's compatible with my new motherboard.

I've been looking for a while if my current case is compatible with my (soon to arrive) motherboard, the most i could faintly gather about compatibility issues is that my current one doesnt have frontal usb 3.

So, what im looking for:
- Silence (most important thing of all by a far margin)
- Anti-dust, extending the periods between pc dusting would be nice
- That its cool (temperature wise)
- And i don't care at all for lights and such, i end up turning all those lights off or even covering them, so also no need for a glass panel.

I heard a bit about Fractal Design Meshify C (or fractal Defiene C or R6) somewhere, not sure if this is a better case than mine or if its too small (i have a corsair GS800 so cables galore) or if it is what im looking for, but something around that price would be neat (though not required).

Thanks.

My choice/recomendation would be the R6 (in your origional post). I love how it has dual inake and an exhaust, all of which have 140mm fans:

Another personal favorite that has been around for a while is the Corsair 400q:

I would recommend either the Fractal Design Meshify C or the Phanteks P300.
both of these cases are within the same price range and both have great performace and value for the price.

Based on your lean towards quiet cases Id say that the P300 is slightly more quiet because of the solid front plate instead of the mesh.
However both are similar styles and it all comes down to what youd rather see your components en-cased in.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, doesnt the solid front decrease air flow and the glass affect sound ?
Im trying to make a comparison with this ( https://us.hardware.info/comparisontable/4387195/geen_username/cases-comparison-table-1 ), and it would seem the p300 rises up to more than 10°c more than something like a carbide.

Id rather have a solid panel. Besides the lights, i think ir would be better for noise damping.

However this case does not have USB type C.
