Should I enable XMP?

So i have been hearing about xmp and how it lets ram work at a frequency equivalent to the advertised speeds. My ram can run at 3000mhz, but according to CPU-Z, its only running 2133. XMP lets it run at 3000mhz, but I have also heard turning on XMP causes the turbo on your cpu to stay at maximum frequency. I do not want to overclock at all, but I do want my ram speeds to be high. Is there any way I can just make my ram faster without affecting any of my other parts?

Solution
Its called docp on ryzen
This unlocks ram to its default profiles
You want to enable this and use fastest available.

Cpu overcking, you need to change power plan to balance. This way it will lower clock an voltage to save powrr

On my mobo, it does not show DOCP and it only shows XMP because I am running a Gigabyte mobo. Is that fine?
