So I'm building a pc for gaming and school work and I was wondering, should I get 2x4 gbs or 8 gbs.

I don't know if this will help but these are the planned specs for my pc.

I5 3570k

Gygabyte ga z77m d3h mvp

2x4 gbs ram (or 8 depending on the answers I get)

Corsair cx 500 v2 80 plus

With memory I don't know if I should put everything on a 512gb ssd (because i don't expect to go over that) and have a 1 tb hdd for a backup (this option does cost more though) or should I go with 128 gb sdd boot drive and store everything on a 1tb hdd.

GTX660 ti

And I've bought this case (CM Storm Enforcer)

Thanks for reading.

the 2.4gb is better since it's using dual channel, but if you intend to get the 8gb stick, go for the 2x8gb stick to make use of the dual channel. unless your planning on adding another one in a week or so but it's still better to buy those in a kit.

Would my application's and games load faster if I just used a ssd compared to a hdd?
