[SOLVED] Should I get 60hz @ 4k or 144hz @ 1440p? (For a racing game)

I know the 144hz is obvious for a reactionary game such as Call of Duty or Battlefield, but how about a game like Forza Motorsport 7?

I'm thinking, for a racing game where beauty trumps smoothness, the clear answer is 1440p @ 60hz, but I want to know what you guys think.

Personally, for any game I play 60 fps is fast enough for my older nerves.....so I'd go 4K......which is what I usually game at these days.

What refresh rate do you have now?
Stepping down from 144Hz to 60Hz would be pretty difficult, but if you have only ever used 60Hz I would also personally pick the higher resolution over refresh rate (assuming you can drive it properly).
