It depends on what you have, GTX970 is right now sort of the sweat spot for 1080P gaming. I have never waited and always bought when I felt the need.

Are you happy on the 760? That is the main thing, GTX970 would be a great upgrade for it but everything is already play able so you could afford to wait. Has to be your decision!
Specs are one thing and effect on performance is yet to be seen.

the r9 390 would give you a better performance at almost the exact same price, check the best graphics cards for the money it can really help in making the decision.

Only on resolutions higher than 1080P http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/R9_390_PCS_Plus/30.html and bare in mind that is an OC 390 compared to std 970!
Crimson drivers will add on avg 1-2% to the 390 performance.

If you have a good CPU you will be happy! (really depends on what CPU you have)
