[SOLVED] Should I get a gtx 1070 or an i5-8600k

I have an i3-8100 and a gtx 1060 3gb. Should I upgrade the cpu to an i5-8600k or a gtx 1070?

There will be a pretty good difference in your whole desktop experience between the 8100 and the 8600k. I would first wonder if you already have the chipset to OC...

As to the 1070, based on reviews I have read and seen on the tube, I would probably consider the 2060 first.

I do have the chipset to overclock. I've seen gtx 1070's for very cheap and new but not for the 2060

Go for the CPU, mainly because the i3 will probably bottleneck with the 1070.
Then, go for the GPU.
