Should I get a new psu or buy an adapter ?

I have a graphics card [R9 290x Tri-x( 2x8-pin)] which i would like to hook up to my rig with a Aywun Megapower 650w Eco ( a1-650e).. It doesn't have the required connector, so should i buy a new PSU or get an adapter.

1. Adapters are never a good idea. Possibility of fail is > 0.

2. Have you ever heard of this brand?
"Aywun MEGA POWER ECO Series"

I haven't.
Possibility of fail just increased 10x.

According to part picker, with the new cared my total wattage would 488W

He asked about using adapters, is it possible, yes it is. Is his PSU good? Now that's another issue that I didn't get into. PSU adapter: 2$, new PSU: 50$.
Sure a good PSU is a must, but he didn't say how much he is willing to spend.

Of course it is "possible".
But not recommended.

Stringing 3x 175watt 15 year old PSU's together is also "possible".
Not recommended, though.

Cost is a mostly a secondary consideration here.
The $2 solution may end up in several hundred $$ of cooked parts.

I wouldn't do it with a name brand PSU, much less that PSU shaped object he currently has.
Just because it has "650W" printed on the side doesn't mean it can actually do that reliably.
