Should I get a PS4 or Upgrade my pc with a gtx 980 (for College)

So Im about to go to college and I would like to know which one is better to get
I have about a thousand dollars to spend but obviously I probably dont wanna spend it all in one thing.
What does the community have to say about this.
You guys are totally entitled to your own opinion and free to tell me what you have to tell me

Well, you cant compare Computer graphics with a console. PC will win. Now, maybe most of you friends own a PS4 and you will love to play with them, so its up to you if you want to go that route. Now, if you are looking for the best graphics I will go with the GTX 980. One thing to remember is you need a good PSU and CPU to really get the benefits of the GPU and not bottleneck it.

well I already do have a pc the graphics card right now is an r9 270x and i have to say it still does pretty well bf4 on high and all that good stuff
so I was thinking on moving to a gtx 980 and yes that is a big improvement i suppose but i wanted to get that graphics card cause
I mostly play fps games and I would love to see all my games run maxed out at 1080p at 60 fps or higher

Get a 960 or 970 for 1080p. 970 itself is overkill, and a better price/performance than the 980(980 has 20% better performance for 66% higher price).
Don't worry about the 3.5GB issue; it's irrelevant at 1080p.
