Hi,

I'm looking for a new gpu. I currently have a gtx 750 ti.
I'm no hardcore gamer, but I would just like a few more frames in gta 5 and some other small games.
What I found was this: r9 280x 3gb for 100. should I get it or invest a little more to get a newer?

The 960 uses less power. If you have to buy a new PSU just to power the 280X then the 280X is costing you more than 100 euros. In performance they are about the same. I doubt the extra 1gb vram will make any practical difference to you since generally you want 4gb if you really need more than 2gb for your games. The 280X is a rebadged HD 7970. That's some old tech. It's still capable, but I would only go for something like that if it was priced really well. So of your choices I'd pick the 960.

you need to have a decent 550w power supply

and a cpu good enough to keep up with it

i have a i7 3770 non-k, and an old brand-less powersupply. It's 550 watt peek wattage, and I am planning on buying an Corsair VS650.

I have got an other offer for a gtx 960 2gb for 95 euros.

should i get the r9 280x 3gb for 100 euro or the gtx 960 2gb for 95 euro?

a gtx 1050 ti is better than a 960

probably close to that price too
