should i get an i5 3570k?

i have an fx 8120 cpu, which i use for heavy gaming. i have a gtx 780 superclocked with acx, but im not getting the fps that some of my friends are getting with it. am i bottlenecking it? should i upgrade to the i5 3570k?

yes, definitely. in games 4 strong cores > 8 mediocre cores
