should i get another Internal or external hard drive?

im getting to the point im running out of space on my pc and I dont know if itd be better to get an internal or external hard drive

a 2TB external seemed to be around the same price as a 1TB internal
(Id mostly use this drive to store music videos and recordings of gameplay and just other media stuff (would also be recording gameplay directly to it))
Which would i be better off getting??
