Hello, I am building my computer for the first time ever and I originally planned on buying the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti. I already bought a PSU (link below) and can't refund it. will the RTX 3080 be able to run smoothly on the PSU? thanks.

Specs:
Motherboard: Asus TUF BR450-PLUS GAMING II AM4, AMD B450, DDR4, 2xPCI-E, DP, HDMI

Ram: G.skill Trident Z Neo RGB 2x8RGB DDR4 2666Mhz

PSU: CoolerMaster MWE Bronze V2 650W 12cm fan

GPU: RTX 3060 TI/3080 (listed above)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8-Core 3.7 GHz

3060 ti... unless you want to sell your new psu and upgrade to a minimum of a 750w psu. I wouldn't recommend getting a 750w as its the "minimum" requirement, and go for at least an 850w for really not much price difference. and then you will have the peace of mind knowing you wont brown out your psu.

A 650 watt PSU isn't nearly enough for a RTX 3080.

Also, I'd try to return that RAM if I were you: Ryzen CPUs are really sensitive to RAM speed and 2666 MHz RAM isn't nearly fast enough. So unless you want to be back on these forums with the post "My RTX 3060 Ti underperforming, please help!!!" I suggest you swap out for 2 x 8 GB @ 3200 MHz.

Also, keep in mind that the Ryzen 2700 is not going to be able to render frames faster than 100 fps, it's not capable of that in most cases.

What resolution you playing on?

If 1080p, better get 3060 or 3060Ti, 3070 will also do the job just fine and your PSU can handle all these cards.

If you want 1440p, 3060Ti or 3070 are perfect, 3080 is also a really good choice for this resolution and will be more future proof, can also handle 4K, but your PSU can't handle it and even if you get better one your CPU will bottleneck it at 1080p and 1440p.

Also, if you can return or sell that memory kit and get a faster one with at least 3200Mhz as Ryzen CPUs work best with faster RAM especially 2nd gen.
